Technical and Digital VC: Administrative crisis as Governor yet to take decision

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The governor is yet to take a decision on handing over the charge of vice-chancellor in technical and digital universities. The term of Dr Saji Gopinath, who was the VC of both the Universities, ended last Saturday. The governor's stand is that the panel given by the government to hand over the charge instead is illegal.
The Governor is referring to the Supreme Court order expelling Kannur VC highlighting that the government should not interfere in the appointment of VC. There is an administrative crisis in both universities as no one is in charge of the VC.
