Technopark employee succumbs to injuries days after road accident in Kazhakoottam

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A woman, hospitalised in a road accident in the capital city almost two days back, succumbed to her injuries on Saturday. The accident occurred near the Kazhakoottam flyover. Sandhya (38) of ‘Srivishakham’, Karinjavayal, Chittattumukku, died in the incident. She was an employee of Technopark in the city.

The accident took place on the elevated highway underpass in front of Hotel Ginger at around 7:30 am on Wednesday. Sandhya, an employee of Guide House in Technopark, was on her way to the office when a KSRTC bus coming from the same direction hit her. Sandhya fell on the road, and the bus's tyre went through both her legs. Her right leg was amputated while undergoing treatment. Her left leg was also seriously injured. She died this morning while undergoing treatment at a private hospital. She leaves behind her husband Rajesh, and daughter Nidhi.
