Third Pinarayi government will come to power in Kerala, says Vellappally

CHERTHALA: SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan has said that a realistic assessment of the local body election results would show that the LDF has not suffered a setback and that a third Pinarayi government will come to power. He was speaking to media persons at his residence in Kanichukulangara.

"The voting pattern in local body elections is different from that in Assembly elections. The LDF continues to have an advantage in several key districts. The Sabarimala issue has not influenced the elections. Despite being together for ten years and enjoying all the benefits of power, the CPI and other constituent parties blamed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan after losing the local body elections. This is tantamount to backstabbing,” he said.
