THRISSUR: A businessman committed suicide due to constant threats from usurers in Guruvayur. The dead has been identified as Musthafa (47). He was found hanging on the terrace of his house. A suicide note has been found. The note says that he has threats from usurers. His relatives alleged that Musthafa committed suicide due to threats from usurers.


Musthafa had taken a loan of Rs 6 lakh. He paid the money at 20 % interest per month. The usurer had several times entered his shop and taken money from his drawer several times. Musthafa’s relatives said that he had returned Rs 40 lakh and they had grabbed his land after threatening him. The family alleged that Musthafa was beaten in front of his wife and son.
