Tourist bus catches fire at Maakkootam Churam in Kannur

KANNUR: A tourist bus caught fire at Maakkootam Churam in Iritty. The incident happened Monday morning at 6 am. No casualty has been reported. However, the bus has been completed damaged in the fire.

The bus that caught fire was heading towards Iritty from Virajpet. There were no passengers in the bus. Only the driver and his aide were there. As soon as the bus caught fire, the two jumped out of the bus. The fire then spread. Two units from the fire force in Iritty came but the fire could not be doused.

The accident happened when the bus was returning from Virajpet after dropping pilgrims.
