TP murder case; Supreme Court sends notice to state government on petition of Kunjananthan's wife

NEW DELHI: Supreme Court has sent a notice to the state government in the T P Chandrashekhan murder case. The Supreme Court issued a notice to the government on a petition filed by V P Santha, the wife of deceased CPM leader P K Kunjananthan, against the verdict of the High Court in the murder case.

Santha approached the Supreme Court against the verdict of the High Court that Kunjananthan was guilty in the case. The trial court had imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on Kunjananthan. As Kunjananthan died, the High Court ordered Santha to pay this amount. Santha demands that this order be cancelled. P K Kunjananthan is the 13th accused in the T P murder case. Kunjananthan died in 2020.
