KOCHI: Sexual abuse complaints have been filed against Rapper Vedan alias Hiran Das Murali again. Two women filed the complaints with the chief minister's office. Both women have sought time to meet the chief minister in person and brief the incident. Both incidents mentioned in the complaint happened during 2020-2021.

The first complaint is that the woman, who called Vedan on the phone for research on Dalit music, was summoned to Kochi and sexually abused. She mentioned in her complaint that she was brutally harassed when resisted. The second woman's complaint is that Vedan, who got attracted to her music programmes established a friendly relationship and then abused her sexually. The woman conducting music programmes came forward with the complaint.

The Thrikkakara police had registered a case against Vedan on the complaint of a female doctor who alleged that he sexually exploited her for two years on the pretext of marriage. More complaints were filed against Vedan when the high court is set to consider his anticipatory bail plea in this case today. The female doctor's statement is that she was raped five times and that she was raped in Kozhikode, Kochi and Eloor. The woman also mentioned that he abused her under the influence of drugs. The names of friends who are aware of everything have been included in the woman's statement. The police have issued a lookout notice against Vedan. The investigation team's action was aimed at preventing him from going abroad.
