THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Gold prices in the state recorded a slight decline today. 22-carat gold fell by Rs 95 per gram and Rs 760 per sovereign. With this, the price of one sovereign of gold today stands at Rs 1,17,080. One gram of 22-carat gold will cost Rs 14,635. There has been a significant decline in gold prices for the last two days.

18-carat gold fell by Rs 75 per gram to Rs 12,025. 14-carat gold is currently trading at Rs 9,365 per gram and 9-carat at Rs 6,035. One sovereign of gold has now fallen by about Rs 14,000 from its record price of Rs 1,31,160 on January 29. Silver prices have also changed today. The current price of one gram of silver is Rs 275 and Rs 2,750 for ten grams.

The continuous decline in gold prices is a great relief for ordinary consumers. Changes in the international market and the value of the rupee are affecting the price of gold. Investors are also waiting to see whether this trend continues in the coming days. There are also reports that gold prices may fall in the wake of the war.
