THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KIIFB CEO KM Abraham has said that he will not resign even though the CBI has announced a probe into the disproportionate assets case. The High Court has ordered a CBI investigation against the former Chief Secretary. 'I will not resign from the post of KIIFB CEO on my own. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan can decide whether I should continue in office or not," KM Abraham clarified.
KM Abraham clarified his stance on the court verdict in a Vishu message to KIIFB employees. KM Abraham stated that he will bravely face the court action that ordered a CBI investigation and hinted that he would file an appeal. KM Abraham also came forward against the petitioner Jomon Puthanpurakkal. He says that Jomon has enmity with him and that is behind the complaint.
He also alleged that Jomon Puthanpurakkal had conspired against him. "The reason for the grudge against me is the discovery I made regarding the misuse of the PWD rest house by the complainant when I was the Finance Secretary. The court's verdict is unfortunate and gives unnecessary credibility to those who file such complaints," KM Abraham alleged.
"I had discovered that former Vigilance Chief Jacob Thomas had committed a fraud of Rs 20 crore. He is now speaking against me in the media. If I resign, it will be tantamount to giving credibility to those who are against me," says KM Abraham.
