Woman devotee conducts Ashtadravya homam for Arikomban; temple committee shocked

PALAKKAD: A woman devotee conducted a special Ashtadravya maha ganapathi homam for the good health and prosperity of rogue elephant Arikomban. The Vadakkancheri native who conducted the ritual is an active member of the 'Anapremi group' ( a special group dedicated to elephant lovers in Kerala). The temple committee was struck in awe when the request for the ritual came. They said it is the first time that Ashta dravya Pooja is conducted specially for wild elephants.

The temple management showed restraint from naming the woman devotee. The ritual got conduted today morning at 10 am in Vadakkancheri mahaganagpthy temple. The devotee who conducted the ritual is currently settled in Bangalore.
