THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The condition of former chief minister and senior CPM leader V S Achuthanandan admitted at Pattom SUT hospital in the city after a cardiac arrest, continues to remain critical, said the latest medical bulletin. The medical superintendent released the medical bulletin after the medical board convened here today. The medical superintendent informed that the health condition of V S admitted in the intensive care unit remains unchanged.
His health condition is extremely serious. Although he is responding to medications, his blood pressure and kidney function are yet to become normal. The dialysis that is being given occasionally is being stopped from time to time considering his physical condition. The head of the Nephrology Department of Thiruvananthapuram Medical College had visited the hospital the other day and assessed VS's health condition. He advised to continue with the present treatment.
VS Achuthanandan was admitted to SUT Hospital on June 23 after a cardiac arrest. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Ministers A K Saseendran, K Krishnankutty, senior CPM leaders P K Gurudasan, E P Jayarajan, and P K Sreemathy had visited VS Achuthanandan in the hospital.
