KOLLAM: A middle-aged woman was found dead inside her home in Kundara on Saturday. Pushpalatha (45), a resident of Padappakara, was found lying on the bed with the pillow next to her face. Police doubt it to be a case of murder, done by suffocating the victim using the pillow.

Pushpalatha's father Anthony was also found with head injuries in the house. Anthony has been admitted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College. Pushpalatha's son Akhil is missing.

Two days back, police received a complaint about Akhil harassing his mother and grandfather. The officials then reached the house and warned him. On Saturday morning, a relative first saw Pushpalatha lying dead in the bedroom and quickly informed the police.

The police have completed the inquest process and started the investigation.
