WAYANAD: The other day, popular businessman Boby Chemmannur had provided financial assistance to Shruthi, who lost her family members in the Wayanad landslides and her fiancé Jenson in an accident. It was T Siddique MLA who handed over Rs 10 lakhs to Shruthi, contributed by Boby Chemmannur. Since Boby couldn't attend in person, he contacted Shruthi through a video call and inquired about her well-being. He assured her that he would always stand by her like a brother.
Boby Chemmannur's words
"This is the first time I've seen Shruthi smiling. I had promised to stand by Shruthi as her brother and build a house for her. However, if I were to construct it myself, it would take months to complete. That's why I gave the cheque. You can build the house as per your preference. Earlier, I had promised to give houses to many, but it took nearly eight months to complete. By then, some people would share posts on social media, claiming that I cheated by giving fake promises. That's why I gave the money upfront this time, Boby Chemmannur said.
"Let me know if you need anything. We'll be with you. What's lost is lost. I still haven't overcome the pain of losing my father. None of this is in our control; it's nature's will. Everyone's journey will end someday. Let's move forward with strength. Shruthi has a lot to achieve in life. If you want a job, just let me know. I'll make arrangements. Learn to be happy with what you have. Invite me for the housewarming ceremony. I'll meet everyone then," he added.
Shruthi thanked Boby Chemmannur for his kindness, stating he has been consistently inquiring about her well-being since her stay in the relief camp. Jenson's mother was also present with Shruthi. MLA T Siddique promised to raise the issue of providing a job to Shruthi at the government level.
