Woman found dead with injury on neck inside house

KOTTAYAM: A 55-year-old woman was found dead inside her house with an injury on her neck. She was found bleeding profusely. The incident happened at Thellakom in Kottayam. The dead is Leena Jose, wife of Jose Chacko of Poozhikunnel House in Thellakom. Her body was found near the kitchen at the back of the house. Her relatives said that she had some mental issues.

Her son Jerin Thomas reached home early this morning at 1 am. Leena was found lying dead in a search by Jerin. He immediately informed the Ettumanoor police. Leena had a deep wound on her neck. Two knives were found nearby.

Leena’s husband and her younger son Thomas Jose were at home at the time of the incident. Her relatives said that her younger son also had some mental issues. Police suspects mystery in her death. After inquest proceedings, the body will be shifted to Kottayam Medical College Hospital for postmortem. Forensic team also conducted an inspection.
