THALASSERY: A youth who told his friend over a video call that he was going to end his life was rescued by the police. The incident took place around 10:30 pm on Wednesday in Chirakkara, Thalassery. Thalassery Police rescued the young man after his friend informed them immediately.

When the police reached the house in Chirakkara, they found the youth preparing to hang himself from a fan. The officers stopped him in time and saved his life. According to the police, the initial assessment is that he attempted suicide due to his addiction to drugs.
