KOZHIKODE: Minister Mohammed Riyas and husband of Veena Vijayan, reacted to SFIO registering statement of chief minister's daughter in the monthly pay-off case. The minister clarified that there is nothing new in the investigation team's collection of statements and the allegations have already been proved to be false.

‘It has already been said that when something like this comes, everything will go directly. Wasn't there even a campaign in this regard that compromises were made for the Thrissur seat? Wasn't it circulated that the CM was compromising with BJP and RSS on many issues? Nothing more to say. People will naturally wonder what those who spread such allegations have to say now. All the political aspects related to this have been mentioned before,’ said Riyas.

Meantime, the complainant and lawyer Shaun George also came forward reacting to SFIO registering Veena Vijayan's statement. He said that he is going forward with the case after doing the homework well. ‘The case was filed on the basis of a good understanding of where this case will lead. There was good hope when the SFIO demanded an investigation.

Veena Vijayan is not a factor. Veena's is a fraud company. The transaction has been made as the chief minister's daughter and Riyas's wife. Many including the chief minister will be investigated. This is also a response to the campaign of CPM-BJP relationship,' said Shaun George.
