KOCHI: The Anganwadi teacher responded in the sexual abuse of the four-year-old girl, who was thrown into the river at Moozhikkulam in Ernakulam. While talking to a media, she said the child has not said having any physical or mental discomfort. She comes to the Anganwady very happily and had a smiling face always.
The teacher said the child’s mother did not say anything and did not suspect anything on the day of the incident. 'The child has been with us for one and a half years. I looked her as a mother and not as a teacher. I have never seen her worried. As soon as she comes, she will sit and play with her friends,' the teacher said.
The police have arrested her paternal uncle in the sexual abuse case. The postmortem report said the child was a victim of brutal rape. It is reported that he had been abusing the child for about a year and a half. The mother's statement turned crucial in the case.
The doctor had informed the Rural SP about the rape immediately after the postmortem. The police have also released information that the child was subjected to unnatural sexual on the previous day of the murder. The police suspect the accused to be sex addicted. The police clarified that they had received such information from his phone. Although the accused did not confess to the crime at first, when the evidence was presented and questioned, the accused said that he had 'committed a mistake'.
