THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government is for a new fight against Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar in connection with the Bharat Mata controversy. Education Minister V Sivankutty informed in a press meet convened that the duties of the Governor will be made a subject of the curriculum. The minister also demanded that the Governor's advice to children to bow to Bharat Mata be corrected.

'It has been decided to include the constitutional powers of the Governor in textbooks. It is planned to include it in the second part of the social science book for class 10 this year. In addition, it has been decided to revise the textbook for classes 11 and 12. In the revision, information about the constitutional powers of the Governor will be included in whichever part possible.

The state's curriculum has been revised by upholding constitutional values. The department of general education is giving priority to providing the necessary support to emulate it in life and providing it through school education activities. There are increasing attempts to destabilize elected governments in the country using governors. The Supreme Court itself has clarified the constitutional powers of governors. Since schools are the real places where the values of democracy should be learned, this matter will be specifically included in the revised textbooks to teach students about the constitutional powers of governors,’ the minister said.
