THRISSUR: Opposition leader VD Satheesan said that whenever the chief minister and the government are in crisis, there will be a fight between the chief minister and the governor and this is all a drama. "All other issues will be set aside and only this will be discussed. After a week, they will compromise," VD Satheesan alleged.
If the cabinet decides to convene the assembly and the governor gives his assent, an ordinance cannot be promulgated. It is a constitutional law that an ordinance should not be promulgated. However, ന്the government promulgated an ordinance and the ordinance was signed by the Governor. The government and the governor have violated the law. They come together to do illegal things and when the government is in crisis, they say they are fighting. How many times did fights take place? Everything will be compromised in the end. It's all a drama. Even small children know that the government is in crisis. That's when they fight to change the subject. We don't give it any seriousness. This will last for a week. Sometimes it will continue till the elections are over," the opposition leader quipped.
"It has become clear that the opposition's allegation that there is an unholy nexus between the CPM and the BJP in Kerala is true. The UDF won 18 out of 20 seats in the parliamentary elections overcoming all that. That success will be repeated. It became clear to everyone who had sent the ADGP in charge of law and order to meet the RSS leaders. When the opposition first said that Pooram was disrupted on purpose, no one agreed. Now the ministers of the CPI and the CPM are also saying that the Pooram was disrupted. Pooram was disrupted to help BJP win."
When things cannot be said, the chief minister will remain silent and hide in the den of silence. Even in the Assembly, he could not answer. If the interview stated that money was used for anti-national activities in Malappuram 'without your knowledge', then why was a case not registered against the PR agency? The chief minister did not even ask the son of the former MLA, who claimed to have written the interview, why he did so on, not even through a phonecall. This means that everything happened with the knowledge of the chief minister and the chief minister's office. The press release issued by the PR agency to the national media on September 13, the chief minister's press conference on September 21 and the interview given to the Hindu on September 29 were made at one place. It is doubtful whether it was made in the BJP's office or the CPM's office. All of this is Sangh Parivar's agenda," VD Satheesan said.
Ksu and Youth Congress activists in Alappuzha were detained by the police for protesting against the Nava Kerala Sadas before the chief minister's gunmen and others attacked them. The visuals of it were all over the media. The whole of Kerala has seen it. It is only the police in Kerala who have not seen it. The police are a slave group of the CPM. We will look at other legal steps against it," the opposition leader said.
