Actress Maala Parvathi stepped forward expressing support to Pinarayi Vijayan for his reply to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s remarks of ‘Nee Po Mone Dinesha’. In a Facebook post, she said the chief minister’s reply to Revanth Reddy was appropriate and that he upheld the dignity of Kerala.
Pinarayi Vijayan had the other day replied to Revanth Reddy’s remark. The chief minister retaliated in the same coin to Reddy’s remark of ‘Nee Po Mone Dinesha’ in the press meet convened. The chief minister said ‘Dash Mone Revantha, a reply is coming.’ He also added that a person holding the post of chief minister should maintain certain standards of conduct, and Revanth should think whether his actions align with that.
The chief minister said that since Revanth Reddy has levelled public allegations, he will also have to give a reply. However, he will not be giving a detailed response at this time. Revanth Reddy had earlier criticized Pinarayi Vijayan during a roadshow for K S Sabarinathan in the Nemom constituency, mimicking a film dialogue, ‘Nee Po Mone Dinesha’. Reddy also said that Pinarayi Vijayan’s expiry date is over and that the UDF will come to power.
He later repeated the phrase ‘Nee Po Mone Dinesha’ in an official letter sent inviting him to discuss the development of Telangana. The letter pointed that he was ready to directly compare the development in Telangana under the Congress rule with the development in Kerala.
Pinarayi Vijayan replied to him in a four-page letter. He addressed him as ‘Dear Shri Revanth Reddy’ saying that Kerala has nothing to learn from a government where salaries and pensions are frequently delayed. He also invited the Telangana Chief Minister to visit Kerala to study its welfare models, concluding that Kerala would continue to move forward by setting an example through its development initiatives.
