'Kalunk Thambran, who is of no use to Kerala'; Minister Sivankutty fires shot at MoS Suresh Gopi

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Education Minister V. Sivankutty took a jibe at Union Minister Suresh Gopi for the latter’s earlier statement scoffing at the minister’s educational qualifications. Sivankutty pulled no punches with a scathing Facebook post condemning the Union Minister’s haughty attitude.

“Even a safety pin would be more useful to Kerala than the ‘Kalunk lord’. Kalunkism is the ideology he carries,” wrote Sivankutty.

“Now we have a minister who always makes fun of me. All of them should go out and let a well-educated education minister come,” said Suresh Gopi.

The union minister's response came after locals demanded an English medium school in Vattavada. Suresh Gopi said the state education minister spends time criticising people on social media, and so not expect anything efficient from him.
