KOCHI: Actor Vinayakan has launched a scathing verbal attack on a news channel anchor after withdrawing his obscene Facebook post against Yesudas and Adoor Gopalakrishnan and apologising. Vinayakan had responded that he would respond before Friday, after the channel aired a program on its social media platforms criticising Vinayakan's post against Yesudas and Adoor. The anchor then posted her father's poem, 'pulayante makanodu pulayanu polum', which included profane words. Actor Vinayakan responded to the anchor by using more of the words from that poem.
Vinayakan was angered by Adoor's remark that, before giving Rs 1.5 crore to SC/ST and women in the film production scheme, they should be trained. Vinayakan withdrew the post when there was a huge backlash against the harsh criticism targeting Yesudas and Adoor. He also posted 'Sorry' on his Facebook page.
Singer G Venugopal criticises Vinayakan
Singer G Venugopal indirectly criticised Vinayakan. "Yesudas is not Mahatmaji or Kelappaji. Don't forget that the golden era of Kerala's music was born where Yesudas was only Yesudas. Glory to Ambedkar, Ayyankali, Chattambi Swamikal, Narayana Guru in heaven. Blue smoke bows to Sri Vinayaka Guru on earth." Venugopal wrote on Facebook.
