NEW DELHI: When Chirag went looking for his beloved stray dog after five years, he found a sight that filled his eyes. Heartwarming visuals that reveal the depth of the bond between humans and animals are becoming noticeable on social media. A video shared by a man named Chirag H.V Havelia on Instagram is going viral. The man shared the video with the caption, 'People might forget you, but dogs won't'.
Upon calling her, Lily hesitated for a moment before recognizing Chirag, after which she immediately wagged her tail and smothered him with affection. Chirag got Lily years ago when he was running a food truck. Lily first came to him when she was just a few days old. Later, when the food truck had to be closed, Chirag was unable to take Lily with him. Chirag says that he was sure that the locals in the area would take good care of the dog, so he left Lily there.
'Due to my previous health issues and work commitments at another location, I couldn't visit as often. Even on the rare occasions when I was in the area, I missed the chance to see her. I only saw her through occasional photos sent by friends/neighborhood.
Today, when I returned to the area, I spotted her from a distance and walked toward her, wondering if I was now just a stranger to her.

More than four lakh people have watched the young man's video so far. 'You can tell what a pure and loving soul she is. Dogs are god's angels sent down to give love and light to mankind,' one person commented on the video. Many people commented that the video reminds that dogs can even remember the scent of humans for years, and that humans have a lot to learn from animals when it comes to love.
