IDUKKI: There is a dramatic turn in the case of a man being shot dead in his house in Nedumkandam. Sunny (57) of Nedunkandam was shot dead deliberately. Saji (50) of Mavadi shot him dead. The accused thought that it was Sunny who had informed the police about arrack brewing and this led to the killing. The information about the murder came out when the accused were interrogated by the police. Along with Saji, Binu (40) and Vinish (38), a native of Muniyara, were arrested in the case.

Sunny was shot dead on Tuesday night at 11.30 pm. In the preliminary examination conducted, the police found bullet marks in the door of the house. A further examination found a metal part as seen in a country gun, in Sunny's body. With this, the police came to the conclusion that wild animal hunting gangs were behind this. With this, Saji, Binu and Vineesh were taken into custody and questioned. The accused said that when they first shot a pig deer in a cardamom grove, it accidentally fell on Sunny. Later, during detailed interrogation, the mystery of the murder was unraveled.
