MUMBAI: Reports said that a Malayali couple is missing in the boat accident in Mumbai. Only when the six-year-old Malayali boy Keval from Kerala, who survived the accident and is undergoing treatment, enquired about his parents, the information came to light.

The boy told the police that his parents were with him in the boat. The boy is presently undergoing treatment at JNPT Hospital in Uran. They are checking whether the boy's parents are in other hospitals. The accident occurred yesterday evening after a passenger boat collided with navy’s speedboat.

The boat, which was going to Elephanta Island from Gateway of India, sank. The navy’s speedboat collided with the passenger boat Neelkamal at around 4 pm on Wednesday. 13 people lost their lives in the accident. Many are still undergoing treatment. There are reports that some of them are in a critical condition.

It is reported that 110 people were on the boat. The police have filed an FIR against the driver of the navy’s speedboat. The navy’s explanation is that the accident occurred after the speedboat lost control. Information received from those undergoing treatment strengthened the suspicion that people are still missing.
