Dead frog inside icecream in Chennai; Kids admitted to hospital after eating it unknowingly

CHENNAI: Kids of Kovalan Nagar who craved for icecreams ended up having a disastrous day. After taking a scoop, the kids felt dizzy and were admitted to a nearby hospital. The parents claimed that a dead frog was seen inside the ice cream. Regarding the accusations from the parents, the police registered a case against the shopowner. Kovalan nagar natives Mitasri and Dharini have been admitted to the hospital. The kids are aged 8 and 4 respectively. The incident happened on Sunday and the police arrested the shop owner Durairaji. The street was in high spirits over the festival in a nearby Murugan temple. The children sauntered in the streets asking for icecreams which their parents bought them. But immediately after consuming it, the children threw up and fell unconscious. On inspection, the parent found traces of a dead frog inside the ice cream.
