Two persons, accused of abusing minor girl on pretext of love, arrested

MANNAR: Two persons accused of sexually abusing a 16-year-old girl under the pretext of love were arrested. Abhinav (19) alias Balu of 'Sujalayam ' in Vanavathukkara in Thiruvanvandur and Shaji (49) of Valiyathuparambil in Kallumala in Thazhakkara were arrested.


The girl's parents had filed a complaint with the police saying that their daughter was missing. The girl was found from Angamali during the subsequent investigation. The sexual abuse incident came to the fore during a detailed investigation.

The police said that the nineteen-year-old had abused the girl several times after taking her to different places. The last such incident took place in Peermade after bringing her from Angamali.
