NEW DELHI: The BJP has suffered a setback in the Supreme Court in the dispute related to the Delhi Mayor election. The court rejected the BJP's request to allow the nominated members to vote in the mayor election. The court held that nominated members are not allowed to vote.
The court also directed to fix the date for the mayor election within 24 hours. The court also clarified that the mayor should be elected in the first meeting and the mayor should be the authority in the second meeting.
