Film actor Mayilsamy dies of heart attack, Tamil film fraternity pays tribute

CHENNAI: Famous Tamil actor Mayilsamy passed away Sunday morning in Chennai, said Nadigar Sangam (SIAA). He was 57. The actor passed away after suffering a heart attack.

Mayilsamy had acted in almost 200 films with many including Ajith, Vijay and Kamal Hassan. He was appeared in TV debates. Many film actors including Kamal Hassan and Sharath Kumar have condoled the death of the actor.

Some of his acclaimed roles include Dhool, Vaseegara, Ghilli, Giri, Uthamaputhiran, Veeram, Kanchana, and Kangalal Kaidhu Sei, for which he won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for best comedian.
