KOCHI: Actress Manju Warrier appeared in the Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court on Saturday for witness examination in connection with the case of assaulting the actress and filming obscene scenes. The prosecution's examination has been completed but the defense's examination wasn't completed on Tuesday. Actor Dileep's lawyer will cross-examine Manju on Wednesday. Manju, the 34th witness in the case, was examined in the first phase of the trial. The witnesses, including Manju, are being re-examined as part of the re-investigation following the revelation made by director Balachandra Kumar.
Meanwhile, the High Court has not taken a final decision on the application made by the trial court seeking permission to bring Balachandra Kumar, another witness in the case, to Thiruvananthapuram for questioning. The judge sought permission from the High Court to conduct the trial in Thiruvananthapuram after Balachandra Kumar informed that he could not appear in court due to health reasons.
