THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The devotees who came to offer pongala faced difficulty due to inadequate toilet facilities. The reason is that there are few public toilets in the city. Mayor Arya Rajendran said that mobile toilets will be installed as part of Attukal Pongala, but they were installed only in the temple premises. Based on discussions with traders in the city, Mayor said that they had decided to make arrangements to use the toilets of the shops for those coming to Pongala. But yesterday, most of the shops were not open due to pongala. The only relief was that the toilets of government institutions were open. This was the only complaint related to Pongala.
