Famed musician N P Prabhakaran passes away

THRISSUR: Renowned musician N P Prabhakaran passed away. An uneasiness occurred midway through a train journey that took away the life of the inimitable talent. He hailed from Kottayam.

His oeuvre is replete as he was in stardom during the yesteryear times. An A-grade artist from Kozhikode Akashavani, Prabhakaran tuned songs for theatre, albums, and movies. He was on his way to visit his son in Thiruvananthapuram. Midway down the journey, uneasiness seeped into him and the passengers near to him found a shrinking Prabhakaran. Railway police were alerted and the musician was rushed to a private hospital in Thrissur but was too late to be saved. The body has been shifted to Thiruvanchur in Kottayam. The cremation ceremony will take place at 2 pm noon. He was a disciple of the legend G Devarajan master.
