Governor avoids controversial bills and signs the bill to merge Malappuram District Co-operative Bank with Kerala Bank, approves Waqf bill as well

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Governor Arif Muhammad Khan did not sign the University Chancellor Bill and the Lokayukta Bill. At the same time, the governor signed two bills passed by the legislature. The governor signed the Waqf Bill and the bill to merge Malappuram District Co-operative Bank with Kerala Bank. Eight bills, including the controversial bills, are awaiting for approval. Controversial bills are likely to be left to the President.
