NEW DELHI: India has won its first gold at the 2023 World Boxing Championships taking place in New Delhi. India's Nitu Ghanghas won the gold medal in the women's 48 kg category. Nitu achieved the feat by defeating Mongolia's Lutsaikhan Altansetseg in the final. Nitu won with a score of 5-0.
Nitu is the sixth Indian woman to win gold at the World Boxing Championships.
