Hometown bids an emotional farewell to versatile actor Innocent, funeral with full state honors

THRISSUR: The hometown has bid an emotional farewell to the versatile actor and former MP Innocent. The actor was laid to rest at the St Thomas Cathedral in Irinjalakuda with full state honors, besides his parents’ tomb. Hundreds of people flocked to his house to pay their last respects. The body was taken to the church from his house in a procession.

Minister Bindu, Tovino Thomas, Dileep, Kavya Madhavan, Nadirsha, director Kamal and many others reached the actor’s house early morning. The body was brought to the actor’s house Parppidam Monday evening. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, opposition leader V D Satheesan, actors Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi among others from the political and film fields came to pay their last homage.

Innocent died at a private hospital in Kochi around 10:30 pm on Sunday. He was being treated for cancer and had problems with his lungs, heart and kidneys.
