KPCC executive committee meeting to be held today

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The KPCC executive committee meeting will be held today amid the infighting among the Congress leaders in the state. The main discussion of the meeting held in presence of AICC general secretary Tariq Anwar will the preparation to welcome Rahul Gandhi who will arrive in Wayanad on 11th.

K Muraleedharan had recently expressed his displeasure over being sidelined at Vaikom Satyagraha centenary celebrations event organized by KPCC. Shashi Tharoor also supported him. It was also alleged that former KPCC president VM Sudheeran and Mullapally Ramachandran were not invited. The infighting that occurred over the first event attended by the new Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge brought shame to the party.

The reorganization of DCC office-bearers and block presidents will also become a topic of discussion. Tariq Anwar will hold a special meeting with top leaders. The state-level sub-committee formed as per the instructions of the High Command has not yet met to finalize the reorganization process.

The UDF had planned to conduct Satyagraha in front of Raj Bhavan tomorrow in solidarity with Rahul Gandhi. The programs of the party ahead of the next Lok Sabha elections will also be discussed.
