JAIPUR: Congress leader Sachin Pilot has put the Ashok Gehlot-led government in Rajasthan in a spot of bother by announcing a day-long fast on April 11 demanding action against alleged corruption during the previous BJP regime.
“While in Opposition, Congress had raised voices about scams worth Rs 45,000 crore and promised to investigate these scams in a fair manner when the party comes to power. The hunger strike will be held demanding action against corruption by BJP which we have not been able to do in four years”, Pilot said.
He virtually accused Gehlot of helping former CM Vasundhara Raje by not ordering a probe against corruption during her tenure and said that people could think that there is some understanding to avoid investigation.
The latest edition of face-off between Pilot and Gehlot comes just six months ahead of assembly polls.
