NEW DELHI: The army is planning to retaliate against the terror attack that claimed the lives of five soldiers the previous day in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch. The army have intensified search operations to hunt down seven terrorists who are behind this attack. They are suspected to be hiding in forest area. Aerial surveillance has also been intensified in the area.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called a high-level meeting to assess the situation in Jammu and Kashmir after the terror attack. NIA, bomb squad and special operations team also inspected the area. NIA will investigate the case.
It is reported that the attack was carried out by Jaish-e-Mohammed affiliate PAFF. After throwing the grenade, the terrorists fired at the fuel tank of the army truck. The bad weather also favoured them to carry out the attack.
