Man caught in T'puram for growing ganja plants near house

UDIYANKULANGARA: A man has been caught by Excise for growing ganja plant near the house. Praveen (30) hailing from Kunjattinkara in Vellarada's Pannimala has been allegedly nabbed for growing 50, 45, 32, 30 and 13 cm tall ganja plants.

The youth told the authorities that he was using the plants for sale and personal use. The plants were found during an inspection led by Amaravila Range Inspector VA Vinoj following a tip-off received by CK Justin Raj, Preventive Officer of Thiruvananthapuram Excise Unit. The accused was produced in Neyyatinkara Court.
