Man high on drugs attack houses and church in T'puram

POTHENCODE: After being released from jail, a man, who was arrested for selling ganja, entered houses here and threatened people with a knife. Three houses and a nearby church were attacked. The said person, Nawaz, a native of Koythurkonam, attacked the houses of Linu, Jasmin and Hanifa, natives of Koythurkonam, by threatening them with a knife. The attack was on the allegation that they gave information to the police. Also, the CC camera footage of him brandishing a knife and threatening to kill him came out.

The accused came to the house of Jasmin five times in a day to threaten. Following this, a complaint was lodged with the Pothencode police. Two days ago, Shihabuddin, secretary of the Kabaradi Muslim Jamaat mosque committee, was beaten up by Nawaz. A complaint was filed against Nawaz at Mangalapuram and Pothencode police stations. Police registered a case and started investigation.
