Sharon murder case: Releasing Greeshma on bail is dangerous, nod for trial in custody

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The prosecution allowed to cross examine the first accused Greeshma in custody in Sharon Raj murder case in Parassala. The Neyyattinkara Additional Sessions Court gave permission after considering the plea filed by Thiruvananthapuram Rural Crime Branch Deputy Superintendent Rasith.

If the first accused is granted bail, will influence the witnesses and this will affect the trial. Circumstantial evidence may be lost if there is a delay. Special Public Prosecutor V S Vineeth Kumar said that it is dangerous if Greeshma, who has suicidal tendencies, is released on bail. A custodial trial was granted by accepting the arguments of Vineet Kumar.

A bail application was filed for the first accused, but unexpectedly, the defendant withdrew the bail plea. However, the court accepted the defence’s argument that it should be allowed to file a bail plea again after the custody trial plea is settled.
