SV Bhatti appointed as chief justice of Kerala

NEW DELHI: The central government has issued a notification appointing the Acting Chief Justice of Kerala High Court SV Bhatti as the Chief Justice. The government accepted the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium on April 19 to make Justice Bhatti the Chief Justice. Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal announced the appointment last night. Bhatti has been a judge of the Kerala High Court since March 19, 2019. He moved to Kerala while he was a judge in the Andhra High Court.
