KOZHIKODE: It was a phone call made by Farhana that helped the police to arrest the accused in the murder of Tirur native hotel owner Siddique. Farhana, who went to Chennai after committing the crime, had called her relative in Ottappalam over the phone. The police trapped the three accused by tracing the location from where the phone call was made.

Apart from Farhana, the other accused in the case are Palakkad Cherpulassery native Shibili (22) and Vallappuzha native Muhammad Ashiq aka Chikku (26). Police will take the accused to Attappadi pass today and collect evidence.

Siddique was killed on May 18, at D Casa Inn Hotel in Eranhipalam in Kozhikode. Following this, the accused cut the body into two and moved it into two trolley bags. They then took the trolley bags to Attappadi and dumped them in the gorge in the Attappadi pass.

Farhana brought Siddique to D'Casa Inn Hotel in order to get Rs 5 lakh from him by honey-trapping him. Officials said that this hotel does not have a license. The hotel is functioning without permission from the Kozhikode Corporation or the Pollution Control Board. It is reported that the corporation authorities had closed this hotel before for releasing sewage water.
