Actor Harish Pengan dies while undergoing treatment for liver ailments

KOCHI: Actor Harish Pengan, who was undergoing treatment for liver ailments, died here Tuesday. He was 48. He died while undergoing treatment at Amrita Hospital in Kochi. The actor was noted for his comic roles in many films.

His colleagues had sought financial help for the actor’s medical treatment. His friends had informed that the actor was suffering from liver disease and that the doctors had recommended an immediate liver transplant. The actor died when he was getting financial help.

Some of his notable films include Maheshinte Prathikaram, Shafikkinte Santhosham, Honey Bee 2.5, Vellaripattanam, Jaane Mann, Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, Priyan Ottathil, Jo&Jo, Minnal Murali etc.
