49.8 lakhs to renovate official residence of Minister Radhakrishnan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Public Works Department has issued an order sanctioning Rs 49.8 lakh for renovating the official residence of Scheduled Castes and Tribes, Backward Welfare and Devaswom Minister K Radhakrishnan. The Essendene Bungalow, the official residence of the minister, is located in the Cliff House compound. Public works officials are indicating that the amount may increase further when the construction works get completed.

On April 18, the Finance Department had given approval for the renovation of the Essendene Bungalow due to issues, including leakage. The order did not specify what repairs were to be carried out at the residence.
