Sudhi lived for his son after failed love marriage, happiness returned to his life after Renu’s arrival

Actor and comedian Kollam Sudhi (39) died in a car accident Monday morning. He entered the field of arts at the age of 16. Sudhi, who started from stage shows in temple festivals managed to reach the silver screen. He acted in films including Kattapanayile Rithik Roshan and Kuttanadan Marpappa. He also shone on the mini screen.

He had once revealed about his personal life to the audience. He had married twice. The first one was a love marriage. He said that his wife eloped with someone else leaving his one-and-a-half-year-old son with him. She later committed suicide. Sudhi said that she took the drastic step following issues with her second husband.

Sudhi was shattered after his wife left and used to take his son to stage shows. When Renu came to his life years later, his got his happiness back. Sudhi had said that Renu looks after his son Rahul as her own son. The couple has another son Rithul.


Sudhi's car met with an accident while returning from a programme at Vadakara in Kozhikode. The accident happened when the car in which they were travelling collided with a tanker lorry near Kaipamangalam in Thrissur. Though seriously injured Sudhi was rushed to the hospital, his life could not be saved. The cause of his death is the head injuries he sustained. A tanker lorry had met with an accident in Kaipamangalam a week ago. The driver had died in the accident.
