THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala and opposition leader V D Satheesan responded to the high court order on the AI camera issue. Chennithala said the court's stay order is a heavy setback to the Pinarayi government. Chennithala asked the chief minister what he has to say for keeping silent after providing evidence and documents of the corruption. He clarified that the government will not be allowed to go ahead with corruption and that the court verdict is a victory of the common people. Chennithala said that he will respond against corruption again.

‘Welcomes the high court order against the blatant corruption in the AI camera deal. The order is to stop collection of penalty in the name of AI camera. The court’s stay order is a heavy blow to the Pinarayi government, which intended to grab the pockets of the poor and the common man. When I disclosed the corruption in this transaction for the first time, the law minister challenged me several times and asked why I did not move the court? CPM state secretary M V Govindan claimed that there was no corruption, but the reaction of the chief minister, who did not respond a single word after I exposed the corruption in this transaction, is expected in the context of the court order. The court order is a slap on the face of the chief minister,’ said Chennithala.

Meantime, the opposition leader informed that they approached the court to avoid the government's silence on the road camera issue. He said more things will be brought before the court and more evidence will be brought if the cases are fabricated and silenced. 'The case taken to defame K M Shaji has been dismissed. The course of the case taken against all of us will be the same,' said Satheesan.

The government is not doing anything on dogs’ attack. The government is not doing what it had announced. More information will come out in the state over exam fraud. He said the police are with the criminals. The manager did not mention the name of the leader who recommended Nikhil's name due to the threat from the CPM. KSU has already revealed the name of the CPM leader. Will approach the court in connection with K-FON.

The high court had ordered that the entire process of the road camera project should be examined. The high court directed the government to ascertain whether there was any loss or additional liability to the exchequer and not to disburse money under the camera scheme until a court order or prior approval is given. A division bench comprising Chief Justice S V N Bhatti and Justice Basant Balaji had also stated that they will examine the project documents.
