THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: 1409 teachers are likely to get appointed in government schools of the state through PSC. The cabinet meeting held yesterday gave the approval to create 6043 new posts in government and aided schools in the state as per the post determination of the last academic year.
5944 teaching posts and 99 non-teaching posts will be created in 2326 schools with retrospective effect from October 1, 2022. This will include 3101 posts in 1114 schools in the government sector and 2942 additional posts in 1212 schools in the aided sector.
It is estimated that the government will have a financial liability of 59 crores per annum while making appointments to new vacancies. Out of 6043 posts thus created, the teachers in 2996 vacant posts in the aided sector will be redeployed as per the provisions of KER. 1638 teachers will be arranged in the government sector.
