THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The incessant rains which lashed Kerala for a week are slowly coming to an end. The state will receive decent rain in the coming two days and then the monsoon will soon be marked over.

10,431 people are currently placed in 229 relief camps in Kerala. 15 houses were totally destroyed in the rains while more than 264 got partially destroyed.

From Wednesday, IMD predicted heavy rains to lash, only in the northern part of Kerala, mainly in Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasargod. Albeit the rain abating, the coastal terrain is still witnessing turbulent times with sea waves presaged to go 2m high in the coming days
