‘Who is this Oommen Chandy, why holiday given for three days’: Strong protests against actor Vinayakan for insulting late Chandy

KOCHI: Widespread protests galore against actor Vinayakan for insulting the late former chief minister Oommen Chandy on social media. Vinayakan came on Facebook Live and said ‘Who is this Oommen Chandy and why holiday was given for three days, and told media to stop this and go. My father died and your father has also died. What should we do about it? Even if you think good, I won’t think so. If we look at Karunakaran's case, we know who he is,’ said Vinayakan.

Protest comments pour in the actor's other Facebook posts. Youth Congress has lodged a complaint with the DGP seeking a case to be registered against the actor and also an apology from him for insulting the late leader. The actor was not ready to respond on the issue.
